Some Process Work

Inkwell began with getting to know Rebecca Yarros’s worlds and her readers. I spent time exploring her novels, diving into her characters and themes, and observing what fans love most. This helped me understand how to create features that feel meaningful while still being fun.

From that research, I sketched and tested different ideas like quizzes, interactive realms, challenges, and a profile system that tracks each user’s journey. I also explored multiple navigation and layout options to make sure the app is clear, playful, and easy to use.

Every design decision, from colors and fonts to icons and spacing, was chosen to reflect the tone and energy of Yarros’s books. The goal was to make an experience where fans can engage with her stories in a way that feels immersive, personal, and connected to the worlds they love.
